Appeals / Anyone needing black SMS correct comfortweave?
« on: October 31, 2019, 01:29:26 PM »
Due to a mix-up, I have a 4 yd roll of black SMS comfortweave on hand. Before I return it, I wondered if anyone needs it.

It was a 9 week wait to get this, and I will remain mum on how fun it was to deal with them.    :-\

Fun story. Fuzzy on the facts but don't get lost in that. It is about driving the cars and enjoying the experience;

1967 Shelby GT350/500 / Which springs do I have?
« on: August 04, 2019, 10:23:43 PM »
Quite a long time ago, I bought Ford service leaf spring assemblies.

They were advertised as the "Performance" rear springs, I believe they were referred to as 665lb spring rated.

They are 4 leaves, well, 3 long and 1 half spring. The spray paint stenciled number on them is #C7ZZ-5560-M. They were made in Canada.

What do I actually have?

Up For Auction / Unrestored but nice '66 on BaT
« on: July 12, 2019, 11:08:49 AM »
This 1966 Shelby Mustang GT350 is finished in green with gold stripes and is powered by a 289ci V8 paired with a T10 four-speed manual transmission. The car was sold new at S & C Motors in San Francisco, California and reportedly remained with its original owner until 1993. A second owner in Manteca, California kept the car until 1997. A third owner in Santa Monica parked the car, and it was sold as a “garage find” to the selling dealer in 2017. The cylinder heads were machined and brake service was performed in 2017, and new components installed by Check Point Automotive of Culver City, California included a clutch and throw-out bearing, radiator, timing chain, fluids and gaskets, spark plugs and wires, heater core, and exhaust. The selling dealer has since driven the car approximately 1,200 miles. This GT350 is now offered with copies of original paperwork, service records, serial-number verification from the Shelby American Automobile Club, and a clean California title.

This 1967 Shelby Mustang GT500 is one of 2,048 produced for the model year and was sold new at Burns Ford in Louisville, Kentucky. Finished in Wimbledon White with blue stripes, the car features a black knit interior and is powered by a 428ci Police Interceptor V8 backed by a 4-speed manual transmission. A rotisserie restoration was performed between 2010 and 2013 at Country Corvette of West Chester, Pennsylvania, including rust repair, a repaint, refurbishing the interior, and rebuilding the powertrain. Following the restoration, the car was shipped to the Dominican Republic, where it resided in the previous owner’s private collection and was driven approximately 500 miles. It was brought back to the US in 2018, at which point a full fluid change and carburetor rebuild were performed. This GT500 is now being offered by the selling dealer with a Deluxe Marti Report, SAAC certificate, a history file, and a clear Florida title
