Sorry to bring this thread back from the dead.

Which exhaust manifolds were used on 427 Cougars?

Somewhere in the back of my mind I thought these had 428 heads (CJ ?) and thus 428 exhaust manifolds.

427 heads would require headers in a Cougar, no?

I think you will get a better idea from the guys over at www.ford460.com.

They build them to run in boats and cars.

I am into French impressionist artwork.

It is the only thing about France, besides fries, that I like.

I don't know enough to help you tho. Maybe Phillip can chime in.

Anyone else notice the decompression vent holes on the Cobra trunk lid?

I would either disassemble and pressure test/magnaflux all the parts with pictures and sell them that way or pay a reputable builder to assemble and Dyno test them and sell as ready to go.

I could only guess on value. Again, the Kaase parts changed the playing field.

My only suggestion is to search eBay, racingjunk etc for similar examples. Might be able to find similar parts for sale. Also www.460ford.com

With Jon Kaase parts out there, hurt originals aren't as valuable as they once were. Complete original engines on the other hand are.

Lots of variables. S, T or NASCAR pieces?

Used, abused, NOS? Complete and running?

Thought that I found another CA black plate, but this car was shipped to Dockery Ford - Morristown, NJ on 6/21/67.

Oh well, still looking for the real thing.....

Ford VIN in text does not look complete.

Are you keeping track of black plate cars? I have one. Still have one of the original plates too

Nice to see photo's of so of my past owned cars while living in Fl. The green w/black strips is 3062 when owned by Mike Williams. The white 66 with 427 installed is 6s122. The red 66 with all the black paint is 6s2250. The blue 67 parked next to the grabber orange 1970 is 2381 and I can't remember the 70 number. 6s122 and 6s2250 were both owner by the same person and I got them as a package deal. Sold them to buy a 289 cobra but that deal fell thru. I was lucky to own several Shelby back then.

What did you do to the shock towers to get the 427 into a '66?

Happened in Seattle in 2016... 90 mph in a 35.   It was a rental.  Hope he bought the LDW! There was a link to a local news story in the Facebook comments.

Do you have the link? I scrolled through pages of posts and didn't see it.

According to the registrar, the VIN plate was indeed stamped incorrectly. Records show the car to be Parchment inside.
