I have Boss 302 windage trays in both my Shelbys with 289 HiPo and Cobra oil pans.
Original bolt setup.

The Ford Vin is also stamped under each fender lip closer to the windshield so by removing a few fender bolts
and pry the fender up a bit I will most likely see the Ford Vin 7R02QXXXXXX.

One more thing, do you use the standard original sealed beam type bulbs or halogen replacements.
My experience with the halogen bulbs is they drew more current than the sealed beam type. Happened on both my 67 Shelby
and a 66 Mustang I used to own in Sweden. Many years ago though and todays halogen replacements may be quire
different.

This is a very common problem on 67 Shelbys. 4 head lights but the standard 12A switch from the Mustang.
Should have been changed in the DSO to the 18A 4 head lamp switch at the factory in my humble opinion.
I replaced mine to the 69 Mustang switch and that solved the problem.

John,
I looked at the bar on the car when I bought it and it's a non-hipo bar.
Also, If I don't recall wrong the bolt on the block where the pipe attaches is different than the 66 type.

John,
Please be aware there are two types of 65 equalizer bars, one that has the down pointing bracket welded on the front side of the pipe and one with the weld on the back side. The first one give very little room for the adjustment nut at the end of the rod and the second one give much more room, i.e. more threads on the rod can be seen when adjusted. My car 5S275 has the first
type. NOS bought in a Ford shop in Denver 1992 and works fine. See picture how close the locking nut is to the end of the rod.
Will look at the one that was on the car when I bought it in 1988 and see which side the weld is.

When you measure the vacuum, shall the booster be connected or not? Roland put back the booster
and with booster connected the vacuum was 8 Inches of Mercury at idle and with it disconnected and plugged it was 13.
Daniel (the owner) drove the car home from Roland and the brakes worked perfectly but when parking it in
his garage it acted up and the engine died.
Well, Roland has given up. Will see if I can help Daniel next summer.
Thanks for all help.

The early ones as referred to by Bob were 1/2" and the later ones 7/16".
My car, 5S275 still has the original  and it's 1/2" and dated February 1965.

Yes, both Shelbys have changed a lot since then. Restored back to their original glory. Roland has built a new garage attached to the house as well. More room for the hobby.

Congratulations Dave,
This is what friends do to friends and what this club and forum are all about.
P.S. I saw a former owner of your car on Huckabee, Gary Lewis.

Hi guys,
Went through some old folders and found this document from Claude Dubois showing some kind of Registration Paper "Certificat
De Conformite"  for 6S923. My friend Roland and I bought this car in Sweden 1982. It was bought in Belgium 1974 from Claude
Dubois and imported to Sweden.

Keith,
I bought a rebuilt Midland Ross booster from American Power Brake and Clutch about 10 years ago.
Ended up to have the original rebuilt by a guy in South East Dallas who was closing his business. He also
rebuilt another one I had. Both while Roland and I were waiting. This is 8 years ago. Still have the rebuilt
original in my car and the extra on the shelf.

Thanks, I will forward your suggestions to Roland and the owner of the car.
Spoke to Roland this morning and he is putting the booster back as he found no fault with it and every part
looked completely new. However, I believe the master cylinder is not correct as the adjustable rod length must be increased to
just barely touch the piston in the cylinder.
Again thanks,

Thanks Keith,
These are 289 HiPo engines and the vacuum is normally 15 inches of mercury.
My 67 Shelby has 15-16 and the power brakes works fine.
I will tell Roland and the owner to adjust the engine to achieve the 15-16 required.
