Nicely done recreation but damn.......

Probably the nicest one I've seen. Bet it was more to have built.

Completely agree.  Most likely, it was close to $200K all in to build.  And, it's still crazy for me to see recreations going for as much (sometimes more) than the real deal.

Anyone ever hear of a car they call Eleanor?   :P

Yes.  List starting at $189k.  Dealer up in Sacramento was trying to sell one about a year ago at $200k.  I like the looks of this one better than the rest of their Eleanor style offerings.  Decent deal if that's what you were looking for.

I always did 85 ft lbs. and recheck them after about 50 miles - never had any problem.

+1  I've been cautiously using 80-85 because mine look like the lug nuts have dug into the center section with previous owner and wanted to be careful.  Haven't had any issues.

SFM5S148. I have my doubts about this car. Some details are not correct (see what I see?) BUT this is MECUM

Sold for $121k?  Your doubts must be well founded.

The trip odometer is there. And a red line on the tachometer.

My bad.  Sorry.  The light reflection obscured the odometer on top, so just assumed it was a regular odometer on bottom version.

No trip odometer.  Just a nice tribute from way back?

Much more original looking one for roughly same price next state over.  Just posting, no affiliation or verification of authenticity.

Its a little "too bad" Burtons seems to stopped selling or making the early car door metal panels.  Unless I don't know the secret code, they where not shown on line a few years back

With Burton, never hurts to call them.  Nice as can be and maybe can accommodate what you want if you describe it to them.  I wanted their deluxe dash set for a tribute I'm building.  Said "Out of stock" for almost a year.  After a couple rounds of returning Dynacorn bezels with the brush marks the wrong direction, finally called and asked if it would return to stock soon.  They said we can do that now and don't always update their web site.  Also offered a few options that weren't on the web site.  Nice people.

You don't seem to have a category that would include 2015+ Super Snakes, Terlingua or GTE.

Thanks Jeff!  What an incredibly valuable resource!  So clear and easy to follow.

Love these articles JP!  Keep it up.  I typically hit the Ford Muscle site while having my morning coffee, just after I check the latest on SAAC Forum  :)

On gloss level...

Should the engine bay paint be closer to the flat end of the satin/gloss scale and the other add ons like radiator, export brace, shock tower caps and brake booster all stick out as having a little higher gloss?

Or should any of those match the engine bay gloss?

Thank you all for your quick advice.  Trying to keep as close to original wiring as possible so years from now I can refer to Ford/Shelby docs to troubleshoot.

I have the Master Assembly Manual... I'll check out pg19.  Thanks!

building a 67 GT500 tribute and buying all new wiring harnesses.  For the front headlights, can anyone answer do you need the 67 with Tach, with foglamps... or the 67 with Tach, without fog lamps?  Or does it even matter?

Sorry, should be able to figure this out, but haven't yet and about to order all wiring.  Any help appreciated.
