The movie ran two hours and packed a lot of detail into that time frame. The movie is a snapshot of Enzo's life and situation in 1957.  There is much family drama injected into the movie and maybe more than the actual racing. Some if not many of the incidents in the movie run parallel to Enzo Ferrari's life based on some post movie research I conducted.  The racing cars were beautiful and the scenery of the Mille Miglia breathtaking. If you have a broad interest in all things automotive I can highly recommend the movie. I give it five stars out of five. And for the $10 cost of admission, you really can't go wrong. It is a miracle that Hollywood is even making these types of movies given the current agenda.

Had a Shelby buddy over today and we were going over stash of leftover bolts and hardware for Mustang/ Shelby stuff and found this among my father's car stash. I saw it while I was packing his stuff in Toronto but was dismissive of it being original. Upon closer look it might be original because they would not make reproductions in English and French I suspect. Opinions? I was admonished for leaving the crankshaft (believed to be part of the heart of 843) in the garage. The crankshaft is now safely in my bedroom closet along with the engine. My buddy said the crankshaft should have an orange paint dot where the factory hit it with a hammer to determine something about nitride or the like. It does not have the dot but said it might have washed off in a hot tank if the crankshaft was cleaned.

On patrol during a sunny pre-winter afternoon. Not many more days like this left until March maybe April 2024.

Took the ol' Dorian Gray out on a forty mile stress test today to meet an attorney friend. Car ran like a champ. I cannot emphasize how much I love that car.

With all the talk of fires and disappearing vehicles I was recommended by a friend to put one of these on my car.  He is a just recently retired airline pilot having flown big birds so I trust his judgment having survived 30,000 hours of time up in the skies.  I will let y'all know how the install goes.

A fellow enthusiast paid a visit and was asking questions about it.  He thought my hood hinges were from a 1970 based on his reading of the code.

That was a question asked by a fellow enthusiast that lives in my area.  I have an aftermarket radiator in mine so I didn't have an answer.

Found this during a surf of youtube.  I never heard of the movie before but it has a few "heavy hitters" from back in the day at least.  Dennis Hopper, Harry Hamlin.  It has a 69 Mustang fastback at the beginning of the movie.  Here is the synopsis.
"A group of friends race their high-powered cars up and down a dangerous and deadly mountain road known as Mulholland Drive to see who can claim the title of "King of the Hill."

Little known fact I discovered this evening is that  the movie used the engine sounds from a 1970 Mustang 428 Super Cobra Jet engine to make the 58 Plymouth sound tougher.
