I'm very interested to see how your car turns out with lowering springs. My dad's car definitely needs. They are one hell of a ground pounder car. I'm big on the yellow but black is hot too. The red striping has to be aftermarket by prior owner. Zero evidence of it being factory.

It's on the plenum from what I can see.  VIN on plenum matches the car.  I love school bus yellow.  Hard to avert one's eyes...I want a yellow one for myself.

Best regards,

Sage advice.

Last, I have said it before and will say it again, I believe we need to reach out to the Gen II Shelby owners. Those groups are full of young enthusiastic members and gives our membership and the original cars a group to transition the overall legacy to.

The cars are 50 years old. Growing and sustaining the club organically is a monumental task. Why ignore 50,000 cars and their owners?

I must be easy to please but I've always been satisfied with SAAC and everyone in it. The digital publication and end of year paper version make it more than worth the membership dues alone. No plans to resign my membership any time soon...unless an 18 wheeler on the interstate makes the decision for me.

Best regards,

Richard E.

Looks like at least some of the original Trans am cars may make their way to Road America July 19th, 2018.

I plan to go with my son and my dad.  Last and only time I made it there with the son was July 2011.  He seemed to like it but then again he was only two and a half.  He received a signed hat from Edelbrock.  (I preserved the hat lol, kids are hard on things).  Will be interesting to see if he still has any interest in cars in general.  If not, that's fine.  Being in Germany with his mom he has developed an interest in SUVs.  I found that a bit chilling.  But we all need to develop our own personalities.  Just as long as he's interested in something in this life.  I took him to his first NHRA event in 2011 too when he was with me for the year.  He took to that quite well.

As a joke I parked the Saleen near the Classic Wax 70 Challenger and found a lot of people were checking out the Saleen, some of them to the exclusion of the Challenger.  I found that very odd given the presence of an original green ground pounder so close to take the spot light.

"Toys big and small...I play with them all."  I'll put that on a tee shirt.  Likely make the ladies mad...

I will look into it (turn 8 at Laguna) and see what I can do.  (Speaking of which, I took my dad's Laguna out today for a short drive.  Amazing car!)  Never made a diorama before but it looks like fun.  You are never too old to have a happy childhood.

You mean this turn I take it...
