Big bad rad has arrived.  Very pleased with this fantastic artifact.  Like the Arc of the Covenant.

for better or worse.  Mine has been with me through thick and thin, good times and bad.  Just thinking about her in my garage makes me happy and motivated to do bigger and better things in my life.  An ever constant that never lets me down.
You've got to have good memories of driving across country with your dad to buy it and having it restored. Even though we sold it we still have many memories and friends from owning it.
Fantastic memories!  That was my first time in California.  On the way, I'd never before seen the Grand Canyon or the Painted Desert either.  Needles was interesting at 112 degrees when we went as well!  I found California rather dreamy even though it has its problems.

Damn!  That poor Boss 302...reminds me of that 69 Camaro that was found 30 plus years after the fact in a lake (Foss Lake) with three bodies in it.  Oh, and a 1950s Chevrolet not far from it with some more bodies.  Turned out it was a bad turn and seemed to want to capture cars (and bodies) to feed the lake.

These cars are top of the food chain, always have been always will be. Many have told me that NO old performance mustang or SHELBY product back in the 60s-70s would ever become more valuable then 10k... (THEY) were wrong! It was also mentioned along the way that the collector car hobby is like a train, people get on and off at various times in their lives for different reasons. There is no good time or bad time, you get on when your comfortable to ride and ride as long as your comfortable. Enjoy the ride for all it brings over the years to you and your family, if financial gain is the most important aspect of the ride I would recommend something else to get involved with. Buy the best you can afford like houses, cars, jewelry, art work, etc. From the beginning of time people want nice things, corvairs and yugos are not on that list. ;)

Well said!

A monstrous offense to an R model. Downright sacrilege.

I want to get away from something metallic dissolving in my cooling system. I'll be the guinea pig for testing norosion and let everyone know my findings. The only "ferrous' material in the engine/cooling system will be the impeller and shaft. Everything else is aluminum or rubber.
On second thought maybe I won't opt for an anode. Classic approach-avoidance conflict.

Interesting.  I will opt for the anode on my new rad!
