John,
The damages are in the trillions without a doubt as a result of the "noble" Wuhan experiment.  I believe that some test balloon lawsuits will be initiated (if they have not already been initiated) and certain political forces will collude to thwart the litigation to maintain the status quo and continue trading with China and so on.  The lawsuits would qualify for Federal Court litigation: 1. If the case or controversy is in excess of $75,000 exclusive of interest and costs and 2. there is diversity of jurisdiction.  It will be interesting to see where this all goes, but I think the early suits will be shot down and very few will follow in their wake.  And people will forget.  It would seem as Covid exits we have a new thing that enters to occupy our attention.

Filing a gigantic lawsuit for the virus, intellectual theft and more for DAMAGE >> against China, could wipe that out.
People do talk about that.
deathsled ?
Massive lawsuits have been talked about.  Will they happen?  I doubt it given the current regimes in place and further, it looks like there is a lot more going on internationally that will divert from any issues over the virus.  Many have short term memories and life will go on and China will "skate" on the problem.  Olympic reference.  Lol.

Not sure about what to do about gas prices...

But when you close down a pipeline, fracking and drilling and then have a problem in Russia I'm guessing it should be expected...

The Lounge / Another hairbrained story from me

A ghost story that involves a piano.  Kind of light and airy which runs contra to my otherwise twisted mind.  The next one I release, however, will get ya.

No automotive related content above but the next one I am working on is a mind boggling "what if" automotive horror which could get one thinking what they would do if it happened to them.  I should have it out by Wednesday if not tonight.

I thought they weren't supposed to call that organization the "Boy" Scouts anymore.

Lincoln's birth home on display is not his real home.
And neither is his boyhood home...

Richard, why not change it to 6x666.

Your story can still be about a mystery Shelby of some sort, and not potentially infringe on an existing car.

BTW:  I like your stories, and I be a bonne-fried professunal writur!   Keep them coming.

Our great founder, Rick Kopec, likes fun articles and the occasional made-up story.  So, why can't we have that here, in the lounge, without it being chastised as a "side track" of the forum's greatness?
Thanks for listening, Van.  I really don't need to include a VIN at all really.  There are always ways to tap dance around a subject to avoid incurring the wrath of present day censors or those who have such aspirations to censor in the spirit of other failed nation-states of the past.
Agreed on all accounts.
