Any ideas how to secure said bottle?  I have a rule of no drilling into the bodywork.  I'd rather let it roll around behind me if drilling a bracket is my only option.

Since it is topical to discuss missing cars as of late, decided to rip open the old wound of 5R529.  Any more leads on this one?  Hiding somewhere?  Or disintegrated into iron oxide?

Do you think the new owner will return it back to a Mustang before Shelby did his magic to the car?  Wait, has that already by done?   How about maybe take it back to the Mexico carport configuration, take it on tour and then restore back again?  I cannot imagine anyone doing that either, but we have seen crazier. ;)

It is an awesome car. I love the history.  I hope who ever buys, shares with all of us.  John Atzbach was great care taker and shared generously.

Be well

Cory

I heard they will be cloning Ken Miles and asking him to recreate some of the famous shots with the car.   :)
That would be an excellent idea.

The exhaust note on 5r002 is so pleasantly obnoxious to me.  I love it.  Had it as my wake up alarm for a while.

Chris NOS of this site posted this picture.  I just found it on an early post about the Morrison G.T. 500 that had about 25,000 plus views.  Lots of eyes on the whereabouts.

Isn't there a VIN on the ownership/ registration under Morrison's name that can clear this all up?  I seem to recall seeing a VIN on the ownership slip.

You all know coral snake is the tired sheep,  don't you  ?
That's quite a reach even for you. I know both of them and they are not the same

Red touches black, friend of Jack."

Reality is if you are bitten by the coral snake, you are basically screwed because the antivenin is no longer made because it is too costly to make and not enough need for it to merit its continued use.  Last antivenin was used up some time in 2008 from what I read.  The coral snake is a beautiful snake by the way.  I like the color pattern.  But if I were to own a snake again, it would be a king snake.

Back to the current program:
Sometimes missing car mysteries (or most any mystery for that matter depending on the circumstance of course) are better left unresolved.

In my mind, a perfectly restored car becomes merely "yard art" when it is considered too nice to drive.
But not too nice that it should not be worshipped as a Shelby American religious artifact.  If it were me, I would take it out to Road America on the occasional clear, sunny day and drive it on an empty track and enjoy the drive unimpeded with other race cars threatening a wreck at every apex.  Then I would take it home, wash it and then make some offering to the God of Combustion.  You could create a whole religious sect around 5r002.  Am I being serious?  Maybe not.  But then again, maybe I am...

Maybe this'll get me banned, but here's goes nothing.  Now here's the kicker, does that last sentence invite getting banned whereas, had I never said it, then it might have flown under the proverbial radar?  Cause and effect always gets me thinking.

What is on the horizon regarding robotic automation is mindboggling.  Such rates for unskilled labor will only accelerate demand.  Backlash being, anyone without a technology field trade will be competing with millions of undocumented immigrants for menial jobs.  The future for American society will only further its divide.   "Hey Doll Face, yeah, you with the gender studies degree, how about another lap dance?
