Cory, try a scotchbrite pad. Also I found a orange/citrus based stripper in aerosol cans that worked pretty well and was relatively mild. Cant remember the name, but Im sure I got it at Autozone or Advance auto.

Thanks guys... and I was going to send this out to be re-built. I'll find a correct one and then have it re-built.  Sorta surprised to find this box in the car, it only had 47k original miles on it 7 years ago when I got it.

Yes AMK sells such a kit, it covers the FE, not really specific to a Shelby, but lots of good stuff in the kit.

I can remember cruising Broad Street in Richmond, VA in my cousin's Shelby Charger back in the day.  It was actually a pretty cool car when it was new.  Can't remember the last time I saw one though.

hey man, so what year was that?  I cruised the Q on both ends of the Blvd many nights back in the day.  Good times !

The upper and lower arms tilt at an extreme angle that doesn't allow installation of the front shocks if you do not follow the shop manual procedure. The shop manual tells you to support the upper control arm using the tool shown in order to remove or replace the front shocks. Alternatively you can use a floor jack on the lower arm and allow the weight of the car to hold it in place level with the wheel removed so the shock can be installed.

Yes I think you are right to post this Royce but it illustrates that this is trivially basic tech info? I am very suspicious of a shop who doesn't know this yet or purposely making grumbling sounds to an unsuspecting owner in order to take advantage of them.
+1,  if your shop can't install a set of frt shocks , you should be running away...

The Lounge / Re: Question for auto body gurus

If you're unable to media blast the area, I would use a good quality rust converter (Rust Raider) , spray and cover with saran wrap overnight. Uncover, let dry them lightly sand and apply body filler. A coat of epoxy primer before the filler wouldn't hurt either.
Good luck

Then there is the question because I sit in germany and write from here, which law counts german/european or US Law  ;D its always the same if you can proove what you say about their fake parts etc. its definetly not a problem. I really have a problem with people selling fake parts to people which dont know better.
Suit would likely be filed here in the US and US law would apply since the club is headquartered here in the US.  The club would be sued as a publisher of the alleged slander/ libel. State law would govern likely where the club has its main office and choice of law rules would apply depending on where the lawsuit is filed. It would get very expensive to defend because any defense lawyer that would take on the case would take it on an hourly basis. Unless the club has a CGL policy that would hire a lawyer through insurance to provide a defense. Even so, intentional acts are not covered under insurance so any award or judgment against the Club might not be covered by insurance. The insurer would hire a lawyer to defend but the general rule is that the duty to defend is greater than the duty to indemnify. Why get involved with any of this becomes my question.

Additional thought... the hoods are not flat, but have a degree of curvature to them in the hood pin area. So the pins cannot come through at a 90* angle, they have to be slightly tilted so that the holes match the slope of the hood.
