The Lounge / Re: console overlay

Thanks all !! So at least its not just me :)  I will try to inject some contact adhesive , warm it a bit and re-set that curve. Being a convertible and sitting in the sun a lot probably doesn't help :)

Sad to hear... way too young for sure.

The Lounge / console overlay

Ok, I admit failure. Twice now I have pulled the console and replaced the woodgrain, (sourced from Branda)and in both cases it has lifted in the curve just below the gauges. Last attempt I even set that curve and the rear one first to avoid stretching the decal..
Open to what has worked for others in the past, contact cement maybe ? Its kind of a PITA job to begin with, but I'm certainly willing to try a new technique.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions .... well except sending to some dude in Canada and spending $700 with a maybe 3 month turn around time :)

Not far from where my family is from.

Love the hubcaps stacked up on the front fender and the original Koons Ford keychain is super cool.

Thanks for posting.

Corey... what did you ever figure out ??? Anything ?

a 1inch corner angle cut of the carpet in all 4 corners will give you reasonable access. Just a small slice at each corner ....

The package wrapped roll bar seems wrong to me :)  Someone was gonna make a Shelby

what size are they 15/16ths ?  3/4 ?

just remember that the rag joint is "indexed" to the box, gotta be careful that it is perfectly lined up during re-connection.

Only thing that would make that car look any better would be my boney ass sitting in the drivers seat , in my driveway of course ! Damn I wish I could hit just one lottery :)

Thanks all... anyone maybe have a pic of the 68s. Picked up what I thought were 68s today, but they turned out to be exactly the same as we had. I also understand that there may be 2 different motor mounts ? 2286 vs 2257 ?  One 2286 is "taller" ? Maybe that's our problem. Also do the 68s carry and stamped numbers or other ID ?

Ok... thanks. helping my son try to install a late model (96 or so) SB 302 in a 67. With 67' frame mounts they are too wide? Will bolt up on one side but will not line up (reach) on the other. Looks to be about an inch or so shy widthwise.
