I also have one starter is excellent condition with zero wear and the C3OF end does not even show ever being attached, no bolt markings and no markings at all on the housing. Any idea what this could be used for? I purchased a lot of 65-66 NOS parts and this was part of the lot.

I am not able to add photos for some reason.

Of the four starters I have one reads, American Motors 3212235-USA 5KD8 or B

One reads, DOAF-B  date may be 9JAC.

One reads, D15D, 3 70

One has a different attachment on the end for the cable, has no markings other a number 4 on that case.

All have the nose piece, D2AF

Can someone ID the correct starter for a 69 GT350, automatic? I have a few but they do not have any stampings.

Thank you everyone for your response. I will attempt to reach out to these Companies and let you know what I find.

Are there any Companies that repair original speakers? Not sure if it is worth the effort to restore or purchase a repo.
Justing trying to keep using original parts for my Shelby restoration.

Another question, is the center scoop opening that leads to the air filter on top of hood painted black?

 Should the center recessed area be painted Black?

That is what I thought.

Car restoration is moving ahead and a question came up. The galvanized braces that mount to the radiator support and hold the small fiberglass tabs that are glued to the fender are ready to install. I noticed when installed you can see the mounting flange behind the headlight bucket on the rad. support and the galvanized finish stands out. Should this are be painted Black?

My car is the big suspension car.

I want to use what is correct and if you have the information on what Company that makes the reproductions that would be great.

  I have my Shelby at Orlando Mustang for a complete restoration and we are getting to the final details. A question came up on the correct style shocks and I have some originals but they are tired. Orlando Mustang has a set of front and rear shock made by a Company in the 90"s called Blackjack Restorations. They have most of the correct contour to the shock and also has the Autolite stamping and C7ZF part numbers. They look really nice and new in appearance. I'm aware of the C7 part number is to early but the style is very close.
  I can restore the originals and install for shows but could these be an option for a Concours Trailered 69 Shelby?
