Registry says it was stolen in "68" maybe that's when the hood dissappered
I have Photo's of it striped but can't locate them. I do believe the Hood was missing at that time as well.

The Mavericks are selling as fast as the dealers get them here due to the demand for a Toyota Dakota size truck. Not everyone wants an F150 or Silverado size truck. The Ranger is now bigger and sits too high. The Maverick does have a lot of power or payload capacity, but there is a strong market for it as a replacement for the old Ranger series.

I recommend that you wait and buy a used one 12 months from now. They will be selling for $10K - $20K below sticker price with 10,000 miles on them. No sense taking it in the A$$.
Quote from: Bob Gaines on December 02, 2022, 09:34:14 AMQuote from: cboss70 on December 02, 2022, 08:18:41 AMThey were not polished. They were machined in a lath set up to get them shiny. I wouldn't be surprised if one of the many wheel repair shops could do it. So many factory wheels are aluminum now days many have sprung up all over.Polished will get them shiny but if you want them like factory then you want to see the thin machine lines . Polished is deducted as incorrect in concours for example.
I have a friend who's not an internet guy who had a set of 10 spokes bead blasted and is trying to figure out the best way to restore the original look. Are there any shops who restore them who I could refer him to? Also, I think he'd rather do it himself and used to own a body shop and is pretty handy- is there an efficient process to get the polish look back to the wheels and a correct paint color he can use. He believes them to be correct 68's. I'll pass along any of your recommendations. Thanks.

IMHO - neither is "collectable" they are both production cars. One limited production factory built and the other modified post production. Rarity and history don't enter the equation. The damage history would eliminate one for me. It might be fixed correctly but it's damaged goods that will always carry a penalty at resale. Being these are new "Shelby" cars there would probably be more insight to their following and worth on the Team Shelby website.
Car & Driver = The Shelby GT Is a Shelbyfied Ford Mustang GT. https://www.caranddriver.com/news/a22761807/shelby-gt-gt-h-mustang-ford-2019/
Just some aftermarket add ons installed at SAI. No real performance/development work by SA --- Compared with the Mustang GT, the Shelby GT gets an estimated 480 horsepower which comes courtesy of a Borla cat-back exhaust system. Stiffer springs and anti-roll bars from the Ford Performance catalog also are included. Shelby's own 20-inch wheels and tires round out the mechanical changes.
GT350 = True factory performance car with limited production and many factory developed tweaks. https://www.ford.com/performance/gt350/
I'd spend my $ on the GT350 and enjoy driving it. Just keep in mind that it was completely developed by SVT and badged to help with sales.

I don't know when this video was created or when Gas Monkey visited Muskogee Oklahoma to see these cars. I attended an auction in Shawnee Oklahoma last Saturday and I believe the very same 63 split window corvette was auctioned off; the details of the owner and the corvette appear identical. It sold for 140K. The offer of 130K from Richard was very accurate based on the condition of the car. I wonder where the 68 Shelby convertible is?
It must have been done a while back because he kept talking about talking to and needing to call, his Jeep Buddy (can't remember his name) and they have parted ways a couple Years ago.
