The Home Depot Exide Extreme is a great battery, but it looks like it is no longer available in stores near me nor available for delivery.  I have one in my 67 that has been in service for more than 7 years and just bought another last fall for another car but had to look at 3 different stores and got the last one on the shelf then.  You may get lucky and find one in stock but be sure to check the date - if it has been on the shelf with acid in it for 6-8 months I would hesitate to buy due to chance of sulfation.

The cancelling cam for 67 is built into the T.S. switch (at least for fixed column).  A pin protruding from the cam engages a slot in the steering wheel hub right next to the splines of the hub.  It should engage pretty much automatically when installing the wheel and once it is turned the pin will pop into the slot.

That's what I'm afraid of - if all that's sandwiched together without any slop for the light body to move aft (and shim with the gasket or bushings on the studs) then I'm not sure there's anything to be gained. That's what I think I need to do, move the light body aft about 0.25" -> 0.5" to get the clearance I need for the tire.

Tightening the nuts in the trunk will pull everything inward; tail light housing, bezel, lens and the tail light panel.   They can be overtightened.  When I redid mine I added stop nuts to the studs that fit on the aft side of the box - this limited the distance that the assembly could be pulled inward but still allowed to snug up the nuts for a tight fit.   It took some patience to get everything adjusted but now the nuts can be tightened without pulling in and distorting the tail panel.    I believe you can gain some clearance there by the look of the round rubber gaskets protrusion into the trunk.

It is normal to see the inboard sockets protrude into the trunk more than the outboard.  If you are good you can file and shape the "wing" part of the inboard socket(s) to gain maybe a quarter inch or so of clearance before anyone would notice any modification.   Of course if the studs are interfering they can be whacked off some (yours look like they may be sticking out a little further than typical).

Can anybody in the Tulsa area comment on recent flooding and if any affect anticipated for the meet?   This has been a very active weather year and I hope things quiet down soon as it makes one think twice about the risk bringing a car to the event.

Other than enlarging the hole in the back are there any other changes to make these correct?
It looks like extra brackets riveted to the buckets?

Is the position off left to right or fore and aft?  The latch should be in same position as regular mustang as you stated.  There is some L/R adjustment as well as up/down but no fore/aft.   There is quite a bit of room for error in the fore/aft and any previous damage that big should be obvious.

Booster ID numbers for the correct carb are M and BA.   Don't know why he would post those pics if he knew they were wrong.    The toe stamping also looks suspiciously neat.   Looks like a lot of blast media has found its way into the booster venturis and probably all the other cavities of the carb.
