I just bought a car out of CT, I needed a copy of the registration and also a bill of sale.  It wasn't even the most recent registration..
I titled in Montana and it all worked out fine.  No sales tax, saved a bunch of $$.

I recently formed a Montana LLC to title and register a couple cars.  Worked fine so far!  I would recommend. 

Just saw a December block on Facebook group 1965-70 Shelbys buy and sell.  If you can't find it PM me.  It was expensive...

I would caution that the collar on the columns may be slightly different from the '66 to a '67...  I've had personal experience that there is some interference that can be corrected.  Perhaps it was unique to my car, but an over the counter '66 wheel did not fit my '67 exactly right.  I think it could be corrected, but it wasn't a bolt on swap.  If you want more explanation PM me.

I've seen the Cobra 4-2v intake without the two raised cast bosses for linkage.  Is this typical ?  Are there different versions?

Yes. It was apparently not intended for street use because it had no provision of any kind for a PCV system fitting. It also had the fly cut reliefs between banks on the carburetor mounting flange as Shelby American did for the racing GT350 intakes later. All new Cobras with stock HP289 engines used PCV systems, even with optional 4V and 2-4V induction systems.

This version has very thin as cast port walls. They are fragile. I know I have located six of them and only two were not cracked at one of the carburetor fixing stud bosses, one still never installed and one still right where a dealer installed it in 1965.







The new unused one was ordered post delivery by a late 1964 Cobra buyer and never installed. We purchased the intake directly from that original owner.


The dealer installed one was ordered and installed in a 1965 Cobra during 1965. Without any provision for a PCV fitting the dealer installed a road draft tube for crankcase ventilation. As of early 2020 when I was examining it, it was still installed right where it was bolted down in 1965.

Dan, are you saying a 289 Cobra should have an intake with the PCV port?   

I believe I have one of the intakes you pictured above.  I'll send pics of it.

I asked because the language included 1964, not just 1965.

Would an early Cobra intake have the port drilled in the rear of the intake?   My understanding they did not...?

I've added CSX 2500 to my stable of Shelby automobiles.  It's a really cool example retaining its original drivetrain.  The body was replaced by Shelby (according to the original owner) in the late '60's with a narrow hip 427 body.

Do you mean the bold on snubber bracket or the weld on to the floor?
I have have a bolt on snubber bracket...

I've got an original outboard grille I am selling...  If anyone is interested.

I have an original one piece nose that may work for you.
It will require repair.  It's not terrible, but has needs.

Hey all,
Is anyone aware of a pattern or PPF company who sells cut film for a "67 Shelby? 
I drive my car and I'd like to protect the front end.

Don't really want to discuss the good, bad etc. on film vs. no film, just looking to see if the car is in anyone's database.
I searched around I didn't see anything online.
