All four original wheels are in very nice condition for their age, they all 4 are date coated 8MJ with FoMoCo script

No rubs no gashes came off of a 10,000 original miles car 30 years ago and have just been sitting here on my shelf and it's time for them to go

This car was a SPECIAL ORDER car that, at the time, was the most expensive factory Shelby Mustang GT 500 convertible ever built (MSRP $ 60,705.00).

In 2011, Ford/Shelby built only 950 GT500 convertibles.

In this color, Sterling Gray Metallic, just 82 were manufactured, making this Shelby-branded vehicle very rare and most desirable.

The 5.4L supercharged DOHC 32-valve V-8 produces a massive 550-hp and 510-lb-ft of torque.  This GT500 is loaded with all factory-available options.

This vehicle has lived a pampered life, highway-driven, in the warm climates of the southeastern United States (South Carolina) and is in amazing condition given its age and millage. 
AutoCheck shows a 100% clean record.
This car will not last long given the rarity, condition, performance and stunning appearance that only a Shelby Cobra Mustang GT 500 has.
55,000 mile service just performed and four new (very expensive) Michelin Pilot tires were installed at that time.
All paperwork, books and records are with the car.

Majority of car is unrestored.  Purchased by my dealership from former owner who bought the car 10 years ago from Jacky Jones and Bob Perkins.  They purchased the car to flip with a pile of NOS parts from Rich M. who was going through a divorce and needed to sell the car.  The former owner told me that the car sat idle for a long time before he purchased it but that it was always in a climanent controlled environment.  Car needed some TLC maintenance wise (brakes, fuel lines, carb rebuild, etc...) to create a nice reliable driver that former owner was in search of.  Last year he decides to go through drivetrain due to excessive fluid leaks.  Rebuild of components was straight forward.  Engine retains original standard bore.  New cam\springs\ss valves installed.  New bearings.  Valve job was mainly required with new valve guides installed.  Photo documented engine rebuild - Really cool pixs he took.  Trans was in great shape.  New trans kit installed.  Original clutch rebuilt.  Also in great shape.  Car runs and drives well now.  Choke tubes currently not installed so engine needs to warm up a bit before idling nicely.  He says he goofed up on that when installing engine in car.  He left tubes off to prevent damage not realizing how difficult it would be to install tubes into exhaust manifold.  Cars also retains original starter, alternator, fuel pump, water pump.  All of these items have been rebuilt\detailed too.
