Surprised the speeder stopped?
Lake Shore Drive in Chicago has 'gangs' of motorcycles that race +100 weekly.
Cops don't even chase them anymore.

Hard to believe the 'family' picture?
It would appear there is a mom (assigned female at birth) and a dad (assigned male at birth) and a son (assigned son at birth).
However, today you can't say those kinds of things.

I think (years ago) Nissan started a 'factory' freshening of 240Zs and the program wasn't around long.
Never knew what happened.  Guessing when things got tight these kinds of programs go by the wayside.
You'd think they could set these up as self-stationing?

The Lowes in Carmel, IN has a big reader board indicating $22 an hour.

At the ripe old age of 62 I'm done with the Fortune 500 on 4-15-2022.

A great ride since being graduated in May 1983: Ford Division 5 yrs, Coca-Cola USA 5 yrs (like John Deloren-went from cars to Coke!) Cummins Engine 2 yrs, Visa 13 and retiring from American Express after 11 yrs. All positions were sales and marketing.

To fund my schooling I worked in a UAW (local 111) factory for a few summers and than drove an exterminator truck.
Feel sorry for kids today who don't have those kinds of 'educational opportunities' and emerge from school with house mortgage sized student loans.

The last 2 years with Covid and BLM work sanctioned 'discussion' zoom calls, there is no longer any fun in the workday.
Taking the summer off for car shows, car races and traveling (by car) across the 48 states to see my friends.

Once the weather turns in October most likely get a 'job' to defray the $1,008 a month cost of health insurance.
Saw Lowes is paying $22 an hour!? Better start studying now so I can pass my urine test.....

I think BAT is owned by Hagerty?
I did see Hagerty bought the Amelia Island Concourse and renamed it "The Amelia."
Lots of capital now they are a public company.

Shelby American History / Re: RIP Bob Bondurant

Met Bob at the 2006 Boulder Museum Christmas party.
I was staying in the same hotel as most of the 'honored guests' and ending up giving Bob a ride back after the party-super nice guy.
From that conversation I took his driving course to qualify for my SCCA regional license in Feb 2007.
Great guy and he told funny stories.
RIP Bob.

When I worked for Ford Motor Co as a Parts Zone Manager out of the (now closed) St Louis District, I called on John Bearce Ford.
John raced the Ford EXP at Bonneville and held a record for a time-I believe.
Not sure, but I think the Ford dealership in Washington, IL is closed?

Remember many station wagon vacations with dad driving and smoking his Lucky Strikes (no filters) with the windows rolled up.
Mom fired up her Salems on occasion to join him during 'happy hour' of Manhattans and Martini's.
Surprisingly, they're both still around (86 and 90) but gave up the smokes and happy hours in the 1990's.
The good old days....

A few years ago at the Laguna Seca Historic Races, Ford had a big display to introduce the new GT350.  Saw Chuck just standing around.  Went up to him and starting asking a few questions-he asked me to sit down and we talked for 30 minutes about 'the old Shelby days.'  Interesting and very nice guy.

2006-up Shelby GT/GT-H / Re: 2007 shelby GT

It is a shame as the TS site used to be a great place for information about all things Shelby GT and some GT500 info as well.
After 7 years I dropped my TS membership in 2020 as the new site is just terrible.

CSX1000, 4000, 7000, 8000 / Re: CSX4000 Mfr Source ?

Of the later 4000 chassis, CSX 4825 was the first roller made by Superformance when the Mexico factory couldn't keep up.
