Given the silo in the background this may have been taken at the Meadowdale Racetrack outside of Chicago.

Appears the passenger rear tire has an unusual wear pattern as well.

Great pics of simpler times. Thanks

Used to use SOS pads in the 1970's on whitewalls with great results.

Back when we 'made' things in America.

Really like the family pics next to the wagon.
Remind me of my youth (5 kids-2 parents) all piling into the wagon for the 'family' vacation.

Dad/Mom smoking Luck Strike (no filters) and all the kids fighting in the backseat(s).
Parents in late 80's now and unfortunately 'forgetting' those days......

I think CS called him Sheep Dip.

Very cool.
What was the reason they were on display?
Were there that many car racing fans in Manhattan?

I'm Irish and live in the City of Chicago where they still call it a 'Paddy Wagon.'
Been waiting for my apology from the City for 61 years.

Didn't know there were any 'full service' stations left?
At one time I believe NJ had a state law mandating full service at gas station?
Summer of 1977 I was a gas station 'attendant' at Foxy's Texaco in South Bend, IN.
Station is Long gone.

Tuned in late to that episode but I did see a shoulder harness attached to the ceiling on the driver's side.
I think by law all cars had seat belts after '68?
