Congrats, Bill! And, many thanks for sharing the pictures - love it!

Thanks, Brian!

Side note: I cannot believe the recent prices for 68 GT350 convertibles. Great cars, and itís amazing how much they are bringing.

That red one was a color change (from Lime gold) with 25 year old paint and driver grade...  ??? ???

...wow. Unbelievable. Thanks for the additional insight, Charles!

I have attached pics , this does not have S1MS ... part number
no other markings , dates , offy marks etc...
So I guess its correct for early GT350 and 289 Street Cobra

Thatís the same style I have as well. 👍🏻

Wow - pretty impressive!

I wonder how much of a difference the Conelec system makes.

Pete - thoughts?

Outstanding, and congrats!!  Great looking car, and I, personally, love the thermactor system. I had it on 2666 - not too far removed from your VIN.

Enjoy and keep us posted!

Up For Auction / Re: 1965 GT350 SFM5S291 Gooding & Company Geared Online

I don't believe that Gooding & Co is the best venue to sell your Shelby. I have noticed for years that cars selling at Goodings & RM Sotheby's seem to consistently hammer for less. Their sweet spot appears to be Euro sports cars & classics... IMHO.

Maybe a good place to purchase tho?    8)

I like your style, Michael! 😉

Man, that thing looks righteous!!

Any thoughts on why the 66 Green Hertz pulled 297k ?

Thatís a really great question. It seemed to me that the ďshiniestĒ cars brought the best money, regardless of accuracy, etc.

It also seems that buyers were taking the sellerís listing as gospel. And, a thorough inspection most likely wasnít performed by a knowledge professional (which Iím not claiming to be 😉).

When does the Juliana Cobra S/C go through?

That was part of the ďExposition GalleryĒ. These cars donít actually cross the block. They get setup in a tent and people can come and make offers on them during the auction.

Thanks Ruben.

Is the car owned by the Mecums?

Thatís my assertion, but Iím not sure. It could also be consigned through them to be sold through the exposition gallery. Iíve recognized other exposition cars that were photographed at Danaís other home off a lake; which leads me to believe he owns some of those cars.
