I'm guessing Dana & Frank bought it!

They worked pretty hard on stage to get the bid to $3.5M (without success) which makes me doubt that this is true.

The Lounge / Re: Explorinv retirement locations

I think NC has become "non-competitive" in the market of retirement relocations.  TN has no sales tax.  GA gives significant property tax breaks to the retired (varies by County I think).  I am not familiar with SC so won't comment.

NC has state income tax, charges annual tax on personal property (cars, etc.) and does not offer any Homestead Exemption.  Beautiful place though - I live West of Asheville in the summer and it is a great place to be.  I am sure you could duplicate it in TN or GA though.

Hi Dan,

Knowing you, 2 out of 3 isn't close enough.  Note these have a different head design - recessed on top and a little lip or flange on the bottom.  And I only have these two.

1965 GT350/R-Model / Re: Brake Proportioning Valve Adjustment
« on: October 03, 2019, 09:18:11 AM »
Thank you Charles.  For some reason, I didn't find this web page when rebuilding the valve. It is oddly worded to say that adjusting this valve changes the pressure to the front brakes, because it actually only controls the pressure to the rear brakes, but I get the message.  Unscrewing the threaded part from the body reduces pressure to the rear brakes.

Just the standard 65/66 valve but here it is disassembled.

I failed to take note of this when I had the valve apart.  If you want to "back off" the rear brakes, do you turn the threaded part into the valve body or out of the valve body?  I think I read that the standard Mustang disc brakes had the valve set at 11 threads showing (?) and the Shelby with the larger rear brakes had 9 threads showing, so turning it "in" reduces pressure to the rear?  And I would also deduce that 2 turns (11 threads to 9 threads) made a noticeable difference?

Clean out all the old gunk in the channel.  Go to an Auto Paint supply store, the place that mixes it and only sells auto paint stuff.  There is a 3M brand glue in a caulk gun to use.  Once I did that, my windows never got loose again

I am guessing this is the stuff you used.  Regardless, I used this product and it did the job.

Nice big clutch Z bell housing for FE.  Date code 6J26 (Sept. 26, 1966).  These early units use the spring wire style fork retainer.  I do have the NPD parts to convert to clip on style fork that I will include if wanted.  Will bring to SAAC 44 for an interested party.  $375.

You might check with Tom Yeager.  He lives in Naples and might know the guy.  No, I don't have contact info for Tom, but someone here certainly does.
