The Lounge / Re: Checkered Flag: Steven Juliano
September 27, 2018, 01:10:26 PM
I got the privilege of meeting Steve thru my good friend Ed Meyer. Probably should not say this but I am going to.  Before I ever met Steve in person he would mail me large amounts of cash in the mail for the purchase of a Boss 429 I owned years ago.  I thought who the hell is this guy?    Ed final introduced me to him in person and man, What a guy. He had the rarest of rare car stuff and was really cool about it and not stuck up and always had cool stories..    Great guy that will be missed.

I have a limited quantity of the very hard to find rear output seal for the Big output four-speed transmissions.   This is the thicker  seal that has the felt inside as well as the rubber seal .    Is a very hard part  to find for Concours correct cars.I've heard stories of some guys cutting apart tail shaft housing's just to get the seal   Because the Ford service part was incorrect

ED.  Don't post a reply on this or they'll lock it or remove it on me !!!LOL

Pete, I also now have the C8oE-B fan clutch which is the smaller diameter .  I think is 68.5 application as well as 390.  I am wondering if you think any of the 428cj (KRs) came with it.  Kinda the same car.  This guy has had this car for years  and says its all original .  YOU know how that goes though !!

Was the C8OE-B used on 68 gt 500krs?    The reason I ask is I had an older gentleman just call me and wanted to buy one of mine  for his 68 gt500kr  and said his original one had  that part number.

thanks chris

OK,  thank you all for input.   I will to mustang site and search for the  reference unless someone would so kind as to send me the link.

So on shelbys then 67 -68 fine thread and silver cad finish?

then 69-70 phosphate  and coarse?

I have all the rubber bushings and washers for front and rear  made and trying to figure out how to package  to make easy.

Concours Talk / shock hardware differences.

Can we do a  quick refresher as to when coarse thread and finish started on shocks?  I have shock hardware kits completed  and would like to get my info correct before I list them.

I thought it was always 67 fine and then 68-70 coarse.  But I  attained some info from reliable source that leads me to believe 68 had fine also.

We are doing a 67 GT 350 nightmist  blue in our shop right now ...I took an original trunk lid with night mistblue paint and shot it with a camera sprayed cards and matched it perfectly     The reason I did this I mixed up the code and if you just put it into the computer and mix  iit looks nothing like original paint nightmist blue    I'm doing this post from my phone right now so I don't think I can post a picture but    If any of you do Instagram go to Chrisbrownclassics.   and you will  see our build and how great the color looks and the car
