I also see the small "tang" on the original is bent as a radius were the repop is straight.  See attached images.

Hi Bob,

Putting the heater control staple on my original HiPo cable is on my to do list.

Thanks

I agree the character "C" is different, but the differences to me are pretty subtle and difficult to describe for someone to be able to detect the difference. The narrower ribs on the repop knob is much easier to see and discribe.

Here is a confirmed repop, showing the knob with narrow ribs.  Also, notice the bezel behind the knob is a dull finish , not chrome or shiny.  (Thanks Brian for image.)

Thanks

Hi all,

Has any one done a side-by-side comparison between an original/servive part HiPo cable to a repop?  It would be valuable to be able to ID a repop.  Finding close images of repop is difficult, but I did find a close up knob.  The repop knob has a narrow rib and wider gap between ribs, especially when compared to original.  Attached are two images for comparison.  Are there other differences that can be shared?

Thank

I haven't looked closely at the pictures so this car might not be a perfect example but if you had a car like this and the original frame was unrestorable what do you do? Is it still the same car on a different frame? Does it make it worth a lot less?

If the car is re-bodied, yes "It is worth a lot less."  A re-body is slight better than a clone and a long ways from an original car.  I expect this car is very restorable.  But I wonder why it has not been touched in the last ten years.  Is there something else going on?

Showing the wrong car is lame.  Here you go.

This image was found on a Facebook post.  There was no info on the fastback with plexiglass rear quarter window.  Does any one have more info?

1966 Shelby GT350/GT350H / Re: Choke Cable Hole Size

Hi Rodney,

Do you have the grommet for the choke cable hole?  Brant at Virginia Classic Mustang sells, but it is also the same grommet used for the antenna penetration from the fender area to the interior, if you want to find an original.

Best of luck

So did Gino Burelli sell the car to the person in shown in image reply No. 18?  Makes you wonder what else is going on that the car has not even been made to run, let alone a restoration in the last ten years.

5R212 in June 1986.   Looks like it might have been a running car at the time.

This is one crispy 66.  No info other than Northern California 2020.

Bone yard 1966 GT350, no engine, partially covered with tarp.  This car looks like the one in reply 11.

This was up once before.  The conclusion at the time was the car was a legit 1966 GT350, but no way to verify the VIN.

Is there a 1965 "Salvage/Burned/Stolen" thread?  IIRC, the drivers door ended up on a 66 GT350, 6S1570.

There is a good chance the carb is sold.  Notice it was posted 2 months ago.  It is more likely the seller has not removed the listing.  That is a good price.
