The Lounge / Re: Dove Engines
« on: April 10, 2019, 09:54:00 AM »
I've had a 488 that has been in a car for almost 30 yrs. It has a Barry Grant carb and runs spot on.
Tremendous power and torque......about 600 of each.
The engine is old school from 1990.
We use the car at the track and beat the hell out of it.
Today one could easily add the roller cam set up and make it even more powerful and reliable.
A rocker arm broke once. Dove's service and knowledge was great.

Best of luck with your decision, Dove has a vote here.

Steve.....change it up a little and I think you're the winner

He who enjoys his toys the most wins!  Nancy and I had a blast following you in the Adirondacks. That sir is living!

Steven Juliano may have curated and/or certainly lamented on his cars as much as anyone.....I miss that guy....Godspeed Steven.

There really are so many, Drew Serb, Lynn Park, etc.

Sorry for hijacking but you have enjoyed your car pal.

1965 GT350/R-Model / Re: 1965 SHELBY REGISTRY 2019 EDITION
« on: February 27, 2019, 08:43:46 AM »
The 1997 registry allowed you to look up an owners name and it listed which car/cars that person owned with the current owner being in bold. That went away with the last round of registries.
For those that have the new registry, what do you like/dislike or is different in the 2019 version?

RM just sold a Balmoral Gray car, a very pleasing and uber rare color for just under 125
The car presented very well in person

Interesting read on this GT/CS.

A great just sold on Bring a Trailer

It had some really strange modifications.....the front end has the craziest helper had one of those old style pick up bug deflectors, mounted in aluminum rail.....sadly it was removed.....almost as unique as the owner was.

Are 68 the same as 69-70 Shelby?

The auctions will not do that.

They will forward your info to the owner and let them decide if they want to contact you.
