It would be nice to hear from Kopec every once on a while...at least on April 1st.  Is he even still involved?

Almost looks like it could read "Alberta."

Are you sure Mustangs dominate their priorities?  I was at Shelby in Vegas a month ago and all I saw was Mach E's on their lifts.  F#ckin Mach E's for god sakes!!!
QSS
The color scheme of those Mach Es should tell you the whole story......  Hertz Adrenaline Sports Car Rentals
https://www.hertz.com/rentacar/vehicleguide/index.jsp?targetPage=vehicleGuideHomeView.jsp&countryCode=US&category=Adrenaline%20Collection#

In reality modding ICE Mustangs is a very small part of the company. Their current big seller is Shelby Trucks for the GT350/500 owners who want to trailer to the track/show and Hertz Mach Es.

Brett:  Any idea how many GT-E's they've built/sold?  Can't imagine it'd be more than a handful, to anyone but Hertz.

Many of these cars got a vibration damper attached to the tailshaft of the C4 if they vibrated. Maybe this is one of them?

Yesteryear's engineering solution to a body vibration at speed: Hang a bunch of iron underneath (a la '61 Lincolns.)

Problem solved!

Man, that gold lightning bolt (or is it a "merging traffic ahead" symbol?) is totally bad-azz!  Gotta get me one of those!

ok in reply #3, is that a man dressed as a woman?

Previously discussed on another thread.  The consensus is "who knows?"  Strong masculine facial characteristics, for sure.

^^^ Lucky Michigan high school kids that got to work on those one-of-a-kind vehicles.  Pretty cool.  Better than going to the crusher.

The only date I saw on anything in that film was a chalk scribe on a machine noting 3P (third shift?) and the date 4-2-61.

Great film.  Did you notice in the scenes about making steel, where men without much protective garb are hurling, by hand, bags of limestone into the 3000-degree (I think that’s what it was) cauldrons.  How’d those guys’ lungs look after years at that post?

The dirth of protection for workers, or stanchions to prevent wandering into dangerous areas, and the general filthy atmosphere of the process up until the footage of the glass plant really shows the differences of that era.

I love Day Two (or more) cars.  So long as they're fast, properly badazz looking, and don't have stupid sh!t (Eleanor) on them.

At its best (right before I sold it) my KR had an all-aluminum 427 S-O (Shelby/Denbeste-built) stroked to 468 cid, 16-inch Torq-Thrust wheels, Four-wheel Wilwood Discs, Hotchkis Suspension, and original Toploader with added Gear Vendors overdrive, but was stock/original everywhere else.  (One repaint in orig color. All-stock interior.)

Ran 12.33 @ 118 mph, with street tires, full exhaust.  Stock 3.50 Traction-Lok rearend.

Not sure what "day" it would've been, seeing as how the mods began before I bought it in '82 (a P.O. installed an iron 427 medium-riser), but wherever on the car calendar, I dug it.

Brett, wow...there's a name from the past.

Whatever happened to Nagle and all his stuff?  I seem to recall some "strange" rumors.

Sorry, couldn't resist color balancing this a little, cool photo!

Thanks, (I wanted to do that, but didn't want to offed anyone)

Not meaning to offend.  But, my guess is we're all grown-ups, right?   ::)

(If that's someone on the forum's daughter, then I'll offer a sincere apology for my adult thoughts.)

In the meantime: Fast cars and fun girls...what's better than that formula?  8)

The lovely lady looks like she was recently ridden as hard as the GT350.
