Up For Auction / Re: 65 GT350 #47 at Russo and Steele
« on: February 19, 2019, 09:07:14 PM »
I owned this car years ago. Very rusty in door hinge area around areas were doors bolted on and rear quarters around side vents . Floors were good. All sheet metal was original. Motor was a hippo but not original to car. Was told it from 6s122 a couple years later when I bought it from Robert Mungrul. I sold it to Wayne Conover (cobra ranch)  no telling what he did to it. Interesting is no one has ever contacted me about car. Car was just to rusty for me.

The photo of Shelby on the motorcycle (moped?) is a Honda trail 55 cc. It was the first trail bikes that Honda made. It was the trail 50, you can tell by the double rear chain sockets, one for street and the larger one for off road.  They came with a chain extenior. My older brother won one when Honda of Orlando came to Fla. as a grand opening.

The photo of the shelbys were taken of the first meeting of the Shelby club of Florida at moss park in Orlando. The blue 67 was my car and the 65 next to it was Randy Betsingers. They came from all over fla.

1968 Shelby GT350/500/500KR / Re: Removing hood springs
« on: October 01, 2018, 08:42:05 AM »
I have used a fan belt for years. If you never tried one, give it a try and you will never use anything else to remove or connect the hood springs

The towers were notched at the top much like the boss 429's were. The 427 was a center oiler and was removed by my and installed in a era cobra kit. The custom headers that were on the car were home made and I had to cut them up to get them out. The motor fit with no other mods.

Sorry only cov Shelby was a 68 KR #3838. One 69 and two 70 all 350's fastbacks. I will try and post photos soon.

Nice to see photo's of so of my past owned cars while living in Fl. The green w/black strips is 3062 when owned by Mike Williams. The white 66 with 427 installed is 6s122. The red 66 with all the black paint is 6s2250. The blue 67 parked next to the grabber orange 1970 is 2381 and I can't remember the 70 number. 6s122 and 6s2250 were both owner by the same person and I got them as a package deal. Sold them to buy a 289 cobra but that deal fell thru. I was lucky to own several Shelby back then.

Will be there if at all possible. Sounds like a good place to visit.
