I thought the Berry plastic decklids had some edge detail/bevel along the bottom of the decklid, carrying over onto the end caps.  Am I mistaken, or was that a different company?

p.s. Forgive my slip of the term 'plastic' above; I was not referring to the material of construction, but apparently mis-attributed Berry with a company named Berry Plastics that came from the recesses of a challenged memory...

Looking through the seller's listing's I quickly realized I've known the seller for 40 years now... surprised what tracked with him to Wisconsin from Houston; not especially surprised with the quality of his sell.

I wish the seller well, but they do not appear to be what the listing suggests.  The tell-tale signs are numerous, but a just a quick look says, "No."

Zoomies were like a reverse side pipe... a long(ish) glass-pack muffler attached to your header collector.  upon exiting the muffler it split into 4 individual pipes exiting before the rear tires.  The tips were typical screw-attched tips; they cam blunt, angled, belled, bent bell... had them with air shocks to get the ground clearance.  I don't recall they were popular for long in the mid 70s up to about the time ready-made custom vans became the rage.

A question from an un-anointted.... who could have legitimately "assigned the chassis number COB5998"?  While it could have just been considered a spare part, wouldn't something as significant as a chassis have some identifier from the manufacturer (was that the source of COB5998)?

I spotted a really interesting product while searching for replacement glass-- ECS Automotive http://www.ecsautomotive.com/index.php had a product named RPM.  Has anyone used it, and what is your experience?

Interesting driving lights (have built-in pedistals) used for the center lights.  Cleaner than most hack jobs I've seen; must be worths hundreds more on just that note!

Another observation from the field.  Through the years of observing original package trays (in situ), I found they had variances in how the edges of the front drop-off were trimmed. Some left a bit of an angle on either side; inconsistent with the amount.  Lacking Mr Speegle and other's dutiful note taking, I cannot quote their serial numbers.  One was a car from central Colorado, others at the 84(?) Anaheim national, one in Pensacola from elsewhere, and my own car.

NAS CAR!  Interesting place for the locker info sticker... or what is that next to the VIN plate? I thought that was in the glove box? I'm looking to just educate myself by asking...

from the presence of re-pop, recovered, and FoMoCo tin, it looks like the project stalled early to mid 80s.  Bump in the front/Leaky cowl/rust bubbling at the bottom of the quarters and the crustiness of the stripped metal indicates same.  So much original still there, but ... needs everything closely examined.  This one will not be a quick spray and out the door, but doesn't look like a bad car.  Looks like it was stored in a leaky location from the amount of standing water evidence; I moderately wonder about rot to floor pan.  Disassembly doesn't look all that professional; take a cautionary note on the shape of the trim.  8k miles?  Rough 8k.

I think this one actually started with a request to this forum before going to eBay:
http://www.saacforum.com/index.php?topic=3028.msg36452;topicseen#msg36452

speculation erupted after it showed up for auction.

The open tourer plaque was a 'decor' item sold at Hobby Lobby, IIRC.  "Special"?; hardly, but it is from the THE MAN himself--Pookie.
