Wanted to Buy / Re: Gurney Westlake 302 valve covers
November 26, 2023, 02:00:15 PM
This is what Mark is looking for. Unfortunately this set is NOT for sale as they are for my Superformance GT40 project.
There are three versions of the GURNEY valve covers:
1. GURNEY WESLAKE with the 4 top ribs (early version, see pic)
2. GURNEY WESLAKE with the continuous top rib (later version, not shown)
3. GURNEY EAGLE with the continuous top rib

There are/were 3 sources:
1. Chris Melia in the UK who was the first to cast these to my understanding and was where I bought them.
2. RCR (Replica Car Racers?) mfg.
3. Jay Cushman

Cheers,
~Earl J

* Currently having issues loading pics? I have a new iPhone 15 Pro Max shooting "live" images. Won't load?
Good call Roy. Thanks

Bob,

I took the dimensions from 5R098 and replicated it. I posted pics on the forum 1.0 before the crash. I'll dig them up and repost them.

The Board Room / Re: sticky topic
November 08, 2023, 08:57:05 AM
A conflicting/disagreeing opinion on an established/believed fact or detail.

Example:

Some people believe that the only Original Shelby American Cars were built from 1962 to 1967 in Los Angeles, before the operation was moved back east to Michigan.

Others, believe differently that it Shelby American Inc continued under the Ford Motor Company umbrella going forward with the  development of the 1968-1970 cars.

Actual details to be argued/discussed.

Hence, "Sticky Topic"

This should work:

Step 1 - Login, select "Profile", then "Forum Profile" from the drop down list.

Step 2 - A new menu will open. Select "Modify Profile", then "Buddies/Ignore List..."

Thanks Dave. I was going to reply to Pete and do just that but you beat me to it.
A few years ago Ron Richards aka computerworks showed the forum community this option in dealing with this issue (?). I immediately applied it, and poof no more issues.
Again, I would suggest to those affected by this _______ look up the individual, apply it. It essentially puts him on his own island without you ever having to visit.
Life is all good!

Hello everyone,

I for one don't post much anymore since the Forum v1.0 crash. I will usually not reply to these types of discussions either, but I'll make this exception.
As for the elimination of the post count, I'm either way as it's not important to me. For the most part the "regulars" here on the forum knows who's who. I'd bet even the unregistered visitors, lurkers to the forum knows or can tell.
When it comes to certain specified topics that interest me, I'll engage or on occasion when I sell or buy an item(s).
Back to the topic. I too am annoyed by this individual(s) posts. As a result I use and would recommend the "Ignore this user" function. (See enlarged attached pic). I find it works well. Maybe consider it going forward, until a decision can be made by the powers that be.

Cheers

Cobra Automotive offers spray cans of supposedly original color.

They do or at least they did. I still have a spare can as my back-up.
