Windy City Region SAAC / David Kee Aluminum Toploaders
February 26, 2019, 11:17:30 AM
On the David Kee Toploader site and saw all aluminum Toploaders for $2,300, which sounds like a good value, should weight savings be in your car's diet. Less weight and better brakes is my focus lately, rather than 585 horsepower small blocks....

Windy City Region SAAC / Chicago-land Ford Dealers
February 14, 2019, 01:20:46 PM
The fact that the old website was victimized to oblivion still bugs the living daylights out of me. But, maybe we can do it all again before all the knowledge is pushing up daises. If possible, can we start a thread of Ford Dealers long gone. One of my favorite was Jack Loftus in Hinsdale, Illinois. Jack was a friend of our family back in the day, spending much time at our house. Love to let his hair down, telling tales of his kids taking the GT350's off the showroom floor and driving to Iowa.

Post any dealer photos and logos accordingly.

Windy City Region SAAC / A note from John Guinta
February 12, 2019, 10:58:33 AM
Don't know where to start, but if you have ever seen the movie "The Big Short", I've been in a gully. Theresa has just finished chemotherapy for a stage 3 cancer, currently in remission, and I was asked to leave the building of my employer.....no mention of anything wrong. So insurances were all out of pocket.

The good thing is I still have the house and more importantly the car, sans engine, but slowly getting the crank ground and scrounging for reciprocal parts.

The employment scene is picking up, too. I miss my Shelby friends and with any luck will be back in action soon.

One question - what do we - The Windy City Shelby Club of America -  want to do this year?

If the response is so-so, I'll get a hold of Jay at SAAC and update the member list and start another calendar, and try to keep the communication where it was.
