Parts For Sale / AFCO Center Mount Torque Link
February 21, 2020, 02:06:53 PM
This is a Cobra Automotive item that requires a bracket in the chassis and on top of the diff housing. For the most part a race only item, NOS - like new.

The over-rider traction bars are not included - they sneaked into the photo

$150 plus shipping

To me it looks to now be a bladder tank. The only guy I know who pulled this off and kept the original look is Howard Pardee. His tank is really a work of art. This tank looks not-too-much like an original R Model tank except for its use of the two Mustang bottoms. For a vintage styled track car, goforit.

An entirely enjoyable and engaging movie. We who follow these motor-sport events will devour this film. About time this was a movie. Now I am waiting for "bury my heart at wounded knee".

Tomorrow night - FORD vs FERRARI - be there or be square

The transition to round fits the cooling plates on the spindle directing air directly into the rotor center. The vintage set up blows the air across into the general area. The racers use the hose set up, which I adopted. The oval ducts, more aligned with the original, will slip onto my apron ducts, and will be my next set up. Now, cooling plates or no cooling plates, that is the next decision.

I plan to go to the 9:30 pm showing at the Orland Park Marcus, which has reserved seating, recliners, big screen.  The date is Thursday, November 14.

Two different brake cooling duct transitions that fit the transition off the apron. The round one requires a section of hose and the cooling plates that route the air to the center of the rotor. Cobra Automotive has those parts. Earl's photo (very cool) shows a riveted hold down bracket on the original duct. I never thought they would be necessary until I had these ducts slip apart a SAAC 39 open track. There is a pretty tight fit with these parts, (only the right side came apart) but I'm guessing the amount of air pressure made the brackets necessary.

The transition duct to the brake is not shown and comes in two configurations and are interchangeable as they slide on. Pics to follow, Basically one is direct to the brake with hose and the other is full size, runs the rail and turns toward to brake. Again, pics to follow,
