My wife and I are in quarantine here in Dallas, TX and our daughter and husband in Austin, TX
are ordering food for us by an AP. The food is bought by a young person and delivered to our door.
Works great and we stay as safe as we can. Our immune systems are compromised. My wife by
being a cancer and later stroke survivor and I by my heart problems after my dental visit.
Texas Swede

Quick and good recovery to you and your wife.

If you're curious Chris I can discuss outside the forum. I wouldn't want to clutter the lounge with non-car chat. I just got threated about being removed permanently again. No good deed goes unpunished.

I got thrown out of a Rolls Royce convention once while at a firm golf outing with clients. Saw all those vintage Rolls in the parking lot of a private convention and said to the client screw the golf let's go check out those cars! We did and were escorted out by security after we'd seen most of the collection. It was a shining moment. I haven't been banned from Saac yet though I do have more than a few nonsequiturs in my posts which I confine to The Lounge. Plus side when I drive and particularly when I'm in my Hertz, my car observes all social distance rules. So there's my Shelby related content to this post as inane as it sounds.
"Low she sits on five spoke wheels
Small block eight so live she feels
There she's parked beside the curb
Engine revving to disturb
She's the princess from his past
Red paint gold stripes damned she's fast"

Bwahahaha!   It's been so quiet that most get a look at the taillights from much further than two meters. LOL
Not that I get grief from LE, but they don't seem to care that I'm running 20-25 over on the main thoroughfare.
It's six lanes wide.

    • And how many words have I got to say? And how many times will it be this way? With your arms around the future And your back up against the past You're already falling It's calling you on to face the music And the song that is coming through You

I have the antibodies, so I am immune to Covid 19.  I am donating plasma.  This is a great way to help others, which many here are of the age group most at risk.
If you are fortunate enough to have the ability to help others, please do so.
Even simple things like picking up groceries, mail or meals can be helpful to those who are compromised or at risk.
I thought the only way you acquired the antibodies was to have had Covid19 and recovered?

So I spoke to my doctor who is also a close friend and he confirmed that you are correct. The only way you could possess the antibodies is to have recovered from Covid19. That being said not all people will present with the same symptoms. It is also possible to be asymptomatic but that make you a carrier. This is the danger of this particular virus, you may not realize you are a carrier and infect others. He went on to say that the likely hood of contracting Covid19 and not showing even mild symptoms is at this point in time very rare, but that could change as the virus mutates.

Best advice is to remain isolated. Can't catch fish if you don't go to the pond  ;)

Chris: I am one of those people who rarely get sick and recover quickly.  I am glad I can help others. I am hoping people don't live in fear and go back to living quickly. As for Bill Gates.  I would NEVER take any so-called vaccine he offered. If Bill Gates and the WHO have something, they planned this. We have the best and brightest working on this and ol' Billy Boy isn't the savior.
