It is recommended that you NOT post/share the Ford VIN on the internet (this or any other forum) only with Howard.

Yep, lots of dishonest people out there. Get the numbers to Howard and a few pics of car, engine bay etc to us if you get time

Did anyone every hear back from the OP?  Did he in fact find an authentic Shelby?

Yes, I did and yes a real Shelby was found after being in long term storage. I worked with the OP to get photos of the car and information to verify the Ford and Shelby VINs with Howard.
