68 white console ash tray knob
« on: May 04, 2020, 08:34:57 AM »
Looking for a console white ash tray knob for a 68. Is there a source for that part? Trying to help a friend with his car.
Thank you.

Repros have been available in the past.  I haven't looked recently, though.  Color was off from original, plus the screw was wrong.  This knob isn't unique to Shelby.  It has been used on different ashtray assemblies over decades.  Swap meet item when that happens again.

I'm trying to remember who made them as I bought one for my 68 over a decade ago. I also got the emergency flasher stalk off the same guy as those were prone to breaking on tilt wheel assemblies . Gary

I think the person you are referring to is Rick Peraino. He is located in PA and manufactures and sells tilt column parts & accessories plus restored ashtrays for Shelbys. I have bought many of those 68/70 emergency flasher knobs from him.

His phone number is 610-246-0858 and email is rmcproducts@pobox.com
