Yes sad day. Brother in-law was off campus ( KSU )that day, friend was there and part of the protest.

A former work buddy of mine was a student on campus at the time, but not in the immediate area.  He said they heard what sounded like shots, but nobody knew what to do.  No protocols, as in more recent years.

I can think of 58,148 more important reasons than a few hippies.  As sad as the situation was, those who answered the call were shit on, spat on and ridiculed for serving this nation while the cowards hid.
