Look at the decal on the fan shroud! It's an out of control PLAGUE I tell you! What is it with that decal?

Black & red - I'd worry more about 2 radiator inlets ---- facing front.

Seems I remember someone here said that it was supposed to be modeled after a Shelby?  Said a member with Shelby knowledge helped with original details??

No, it's definitely a 67 Mustang. Legos said they were coming out with a Shelby. Maybe that's the one you are thinking about?

Those aren't forward mounting radiator outlets. They are part of the mounting for the front grill which was not yet installed at the time of the picture.

There are a lot of small parts missing from the kit. I envision them being counted and sorted by automatic loading machines and the parts sticking in the loader and not getting packaged? The price is in the $100 plus range and for that there should have been more care taken.

There are parts in the packaging that do not belong to this build.

The point of the post was to show the "caution fan" decal and the kind of influence that "dark side" has had even on Lego. ;)

I thought these Lego Mustang kits were pretty cool. I've purchased two of these in the last year.

I bought one for my 11-year old great-nephew for a special occasion. My sister said he was so thrilled when he got it, he worked on it nearly non-stop and had it completed in two days.

Then last summer, my 11-year-old grand-daughter came to visit us for several weeks. She had shown some interest in my sports cars before she arrived, so I ordered a kit for her. I gave it to her when she got here. We leisurely worked on the assembly in the evenings after I got home from work. It took us about about two weeks to complete. We talked and swapped stories while we worked. It was a wonderful bonding time. When the last piece was pressed into place, it felt satisfying - like finishing a jigsaw puzzle. After my grand-daughter went back home, I carefully packed and shipped the model to her. She proudly displays it in their entryway.

By the way, if you want to restomod your Lego Mustang, they have a number of modifications available in their store.
Hmmm - I wonder if I can make a Lego 1967 Shelby 'Tribute'?

(Sorry, couldn't resist yankin' some chains ;)
