John lived about 20 minutes away from me, and we spent quite a bit of time together. Agree with above, he was always such an enthusiastic person. He had a real passion for cars. He was alwAys upbeat no matter what was thrown at him.

He had just recently sold his beautiful R-model clone to Shelby American.

He will be missed.

God speed John.

Wow.  I had no idea he had sold the car.  It was very nicely done.

Very sad to hear this.  I always liked bumping into John at local Chicago area shows.  I especially liked chatting with him out at the Autobahn Country Club.  A good guy to know.
  Miss you already buddy!

John and I talked a couple weeks ago about getting together and talk cars. So very sorry to hear this. Condolences to the family.

Wow. What a shock. John's passion and enthusiasm for Shelby American and its cars will be missed.

I will miss John a lot. We talked cars, life, cars, engines, cars, his car, my car and stupid stuff we did when younger and also recently. I called him two weeks ago to plan getting together when I get back to Chicago this summer. Conventions will not be the same. RIP John.

John was a wonderful person and the most passionate fan of all things Shelby.

RIP good sir.  A finer and classier person will not be found.

Condolences to the entire family.

Very sad for all, especially the Windy City group.
