The Going Thing

I thought I'd take the car out.
It's unusually quiet in St. Louis this evening so I thought I'd post a picture.
Remember those who gave all this weekend.

I did drive my 2 cars, but I have not a picture of the drive.... One for the heck of it and the other for inspection.

OK, two file photos

Took my 28-year-old niece for a fast drive in the Kirkham.  Her first time in the car.

I asked her if she wanted to "go really fast" and she enthusiastically said yes.  In my area, there are several places where you can go 100 mph safely, no side roads, etc.  I think I topped that number by a little bit.

When we got back, her boyfriend (he's from NYC) wanted a ride and he loved it too.

There is hope!!!

This week I took both the 67 and 66 Shelbys out for some runs. In fact, my wife and I are currently out to dinner and we took the 67 (she's stepped away from the table, hence this post 😉).
Nothing beats a classic!

It's hard to keep both hands on the wheel when you have a four speed.....

#3119 was out and about for a bit today but was before I saw this post. I will get a vid next time. Ran awesome and really enjoyed some social distancing!!

The Going Thing

Usually when I social distance someone is smelling 110 from me exercising the accelerator pedal. I'm immune so It's not a concern for me.

Yes being immune is a good thing, as with all viruses, and other things that can make people sick, we build up our immunity, however if they are going to close down and make us stay away, we will have no immunity system left in 10 years, you want to talk about sick.....?

Technically not a drive, but more of a move off the lift to accommodate another vehicle. I don't have any pictures, but here is a short video from the previous owner just prior to my taking delivery.
The neighbors tended to grimace when I start it up, not so much at my future digs I'm hoping.
