More like a coupe Mustang I with fatter rear fenders.

My guess is a European Ford Taunus V4. Put in Saabs too.

?

 Ford Cardinal 1,500 cc 60 degree V4 out of Cologne. The Cardinal was killed prior to production, intended for NA as a VW Beatle competitor.

My guess is a European Ford Taunus V4. Put in Saabs too.
It was an industrial ground power engine - for running generators, pumps, etc. Design was later updated to V6.
