This 1967 Shelby GT500 is one of 2,048 fastback examples produced for the model year and was completed on February 17, 1967, before being sold new by Ron's Ford Sales in Bristol, Tennessee. The car spent its early years in the Gastonia, North Carolina area and was acquired by a Shelby American Automobile Club member in Grantsboro, North Carolina in 1980. A mechanical restoration carried out between 1982 and 1987 included the installation of a 427ci "side-oiler" V8 that was purchased from Holman Automotive. Additional work included rebuilding the close-ratio four-speed manual transmission, installing a new 3.50:1 four-pinion limited-slip differential, and overhauling the suspension, brake, and exhaust systems using rebuilt and new-old-stock parts. In 1992 it was purchased by a Mississippi SAAC member, whose 27-year ownership included commissioning a repaint in the original shade of Lime Gold in 1996 and moving the car to Virginia in 2007. After being acquired by the seller about six months ago, the car received a new water pump, belts, and hoses. GT500 number 0759 is listed in the SAAC Shelby Registry and is now offered with a copy of its original invoice, invoices from the 1996 repaint, photographs of the car from the 1970s, an owner's manual, and a clean Georgia title in the seller's name.

Seems like a good number for the buyer and seller a non-matching driver.
