Just confirmed Rex Myers AM lightweight GT 40 will be coming to the tulsa show as we will be leaving Indiana early Thursday am and try to get the car in the lobby sometime Thursday afternoon (while everybody is at Hallett) before the downtown cruise if it all works out.

Very cool. I was parked directly across the aisle at MCACN last year, so had a prime spot to admire it all weekend. It's a spectacular car.

Went to Hallett yesterday. Total washout. Raining hard the whole time I was there. Never saw the cars on the track, hopefully they went some time later.

We went home, the police and national guard have so many streets blocked off and patrols everywhere, very dangerous place to be now.  Top bad.

That is downtown, not anywhere near the Shelby show which is at the drag strip today.

I predict downtown Tulsa might be a dangerous place for Antifa rioters and looters. Anyone else should be fine.

A powder keg of a situation... Best to avoid the area.

The Going Thing

Safer in Tulsa than just about anywhere in CA, OR, WA, IL, or NY.  Rioting and looting is never a welcome behavior and would be met with swift reprisal.

No safety worries at all (at hotel or race venues at least)
2 of the ultimate Ford powered cars were in hotel lobby though

And Rex & Tony (the owners) are both great guys to top it off!!

Those are beautiful vehicles!  I'm in Chicago overnight.

So thankful Jim Wicks and the rest of the crew that puts Mid America on, Oklahoma and Tulsa that we where able to have Mid America this year with so many shows being canceled. I really enjoyed the show, getting to see old friends, making new friends and the cars. Great track day at Hallett Thursday, still had fun Friday at Hallett. Great weather Saturday for the drags and Sunday for the show.  At least the whole world is not negative.

It's on my bucket list of shows to go to, this year daughters wedding (climbing up in less than 2 weeks),  son giving us first grandchild (five weeks early),  plus a root canal and a new tooth crown, made it not feasible
Maybe next year, sounds like a great time. Anyone have pictures ?
Owned since 1971, now driven over 245,000 miles, makes me smile every time I drive it and it makes me feel 21 again.😎

Didn't get very many pictures, but managed to take a few.

Cj750- Thanks for posting the Marriott Lobby pics. The Red BOSS 302 belongs to me and I would love to be able to print a high quality picture to frame. I sent you a PM with my email if you by chance could send me the original large file I'd be very grateful.

Thank you-

Mark:

Done. I hope you aren't too disappointed with the quality of the original file. The pics were the best I could manage with my old cell phone, but in the end it's only capable of so much resolution.   Anyhow, absolutely stunning car. I thoroughly enjoyed seeing it. Thanks for having it there for everyone to enjoy.

Not at all Jay, appears the one you emailed is much better than the one I copied off this post. Thanks so much for taking the time to send it and for the kind words. Have a great 4th of July and hope to meet up at another event in the future.
