Is this the correct position for brake booster fitting?

Not sure if I need to rotate the fitting more and have the tube be more towards carb.

FYI the positioning of the vacuum tube should be the only thing copied in the example picture. Other details are historically incorrect.

You mean that 5/8 inch open end wrench isn't factory ?

Do you have an air conditioned car? Automatic  trans?
