Virginia mustang sold me a really nice looking group 24 reproduction battery.  It is an AGM battery and still works great 8 years later.  It was not cheap.  They might have them for group 27.

Virginia Mustang is supposed to starting getting G24s next month again. Real AGMs. The G27s are done and probably not enough demand for them to reproduce.

Battery Central Mall might be an option for you. I have not purchased from them (since my battery from Virginia Classic is still going strong after 5 years) but I bookmarked them a long time ago just in case I would ever need them.

JOhn,  turbostart batteries i believe is who makes them.  I talked with  Marcus Cardwell  last year at sema and they have some really good improvements and grades of batteries.  I remember him telling me they have one  in group 24 and 27  that is gauranteed for like 15 years or something . Some kind of new technology where you have an external capapcitor to hook to it when it goes dead and it instantly recharges.  Good for like 300 starts per charge.    Maybe there website has something about it.  www.turbostart.com.   I inquired about becoming dealer but dropped ball with other things going on.

While talking batteries is a group 22 ever going to be made in reproduction? Most GT350s in 69-70 came with a group 22 as well as Boss 302s and I think earlier year GT350s. I got a real group 22 battery tray(Thanks Ed) but need the correct battery for my GT350.

Regarding Battery Central Mall, they no longer have reproduction batteries. They were batteries in an Autolite case. I had a G24 and it failed in a couple of months. The G27 I got from them is still going strong after 3 years.

Just to be clear all the reproduction batteries are made by one source. Jim's Battery Mfg.  He was one of the employees of Antique Auto Battery and bought the company when she sold. The service under AAB was horrible and although Jim's made promises of being better it hasn't changed. I'm a dealer and have been trying for 3 weeks just to get them on the phone but no answer and mailbox is full. I'm trying to give them a little slack because of Covid but it appears they aren't much different than old ownership.
If you are buying a battery through Battery Central Mall it is coming from Jim's
