or
"Release your infatuation, obsession and hatred, follow the instructions....it will set you free."

Would you find it distasteful?

Thoughts:
'Off the rails" comes to mind.

Also, while "everyone is different", I do NOT understand the need to belittle, taunt, or disrespect others in public.
