Looking at the 1968 GT500 convertible, number 2448, that popped up in the for sale section. I have the 66 registry for my 66 GT350H but not the 68. Any personal experiences with this car, or any additional info you could share, like 2448's registry info? Thanks, Ken.

No picture and nothing too remarkable are shown in the latest '68 registry.

Shipped to Tasca. Single family ownership, father then son, from new to 2008. Another owner listed (11/2010) and for sale through Hemmings in 01/2016 for $180k.

As of last update 11/2010:
57,282 miles
Acalpulco Blue
Saddle Interior
Black Top
Automatic
No A/C
Tilt Steering

Interesting note: Car was lent to Patrick Nugent (husband of Lucy Baines Johnson) who painted a North Vietnam flag on the hood and trunk and then did doughnuts on the White House front lawn until a Secret Service Agent put a .50 cal bullet through the engine disabling the car. A dummy .50 cal round has since been used as the automatic trans shift handle. Nah, just messin' with ya. The Interesting note is totally bogus.

Seems like a nice car with reasonable mileage. SAAC registry seems to corroborate private seller's ad.

Hope this helps.
