Hello gentlemen,

Looking for suggestions on a fictitious drag car for my next story.  This drag car will have alien technology engineered into it.

Possible cars I am considering:

1.      1965 AFX Mustang
2.      1964 Ford Thunderbolt
3.      1955 Ford Fairlane gasser

Open to suggestions.  Even Chevy and Dodge.

Small block eight so live she feels
There she's parked beside the curb
Engine revving to disturb
She's the princess from his past
Red paint gold stripes damned she's fast"

^^^ all good choices.
Depending on target age group - how about a 1940 Willys coupe?

I would consider a Willys coupe.  Thank you.  I am a bit enamoured with either an AFX 1965 Mustang or the Ford Skairlane.  Kind of leaning toward the Skairlane gasser.  They have a certain mystery about them.  Either way, the car will be infused with pieces of the Roswell crash.  Maybe a forged crankshaft from the ship which allows its driver to never age.  Like the Doran Gray of drag cars though with a more "plausible" explanation of alien technology as opposed to a painting that randomly changes without explanation.  But sometimes not having to explain is better to leave it up to the reader's imagination.

That's a bad ass drag car.  I have a lot to work with in this story.  2,000 plus words into it.  Gotta keep the pedal to the metal to get a first draft done.  Thank you.

Good luck with the story

Gas' second A?FX Mustang. The first broke an axle and crashed. Ford gave him this one when they realized the crash wasn't his fault. Gas moved to Russ Davis Ford from Downtown Motors (where he raced a Galaxie and Tbolt) in Los Angeles to be near his car prep/mechanic Les Ritchey who owned Performance Associates in Covina. Les was killed in his A/FX Mustang in 1966 and Gas started using Ed Pink for engines. This photo is how the car was in 66 with the R Model window frames. Les also built all of Shelby's drag Cobras and Mustangs.
