KR air cleaner top
« on: October 15, 2020, 09:49:11 PM »
Getting ready to restore my air cleaner and noticed the top has ripples in the stamping? Is this common?

Thanks.

Yes the ripples are seen on some genuine lids . You are aware that the lid is the same style as the typical hipo lid just painted instead of chrome. The ripples are a effect seen more on some then others from 65-70

+1  More ripples on the painted versions , almost like they were rejects from those being chromed.

Yes, it does look like a reject!

I guess I'll straighten the edges and leave the ripples.

Thanks for the input. Love this site.
