Yep.  Over-ride, Ray Brown, button top fuel pump and aluminum case trans.  My car was even sold new with the ten spokes and it still rides on those wheels.

Took the 69 Shelby Convertible to a Mustang Club of Houston show this past weekend.  There was a very nice 68 Shelby Convertible, a 68 Shelby Fastback and a 67 Shelby Fastback.  Oddly the Shelby was in a group of Shelby's which included several 2007 - 2019 versions.  There was a first, second and third place for the judges and nothing older than 1978 got a trophy.  I knew I was in trouble when the Judge asked me if a GT500 has 500 horsepower.  The real tragedy was that they gave first place in the Shelby class to my 1978 King Cobra because they did not believe that it was a Mustang

When I was 18 to 27, I cared about the trophy. I would polish and clean my car and picked up my trophy at the end of the show and go home, nobody cared.

I have not gone or brought a car to a show since that time. Maybe it will be fun again someday soon, if I go today, I would prefer not to be judged, voted, for any such thing. I just assume park it in the parking area.

Don't need a trophy. I got one from SAAC years ago and its all good. Got many from regional Mustang/SAAC events......I'm good, thanks!

I love driving my '68 Mustang GT coupe but I'm not all that into bringing it to static shows (but I do like a good car cruise/driving event).  It has various dents, dings and scratches, needs bodywork and paint, it's missing various pieces of trim, the rear quarters are in primer, the hood is black (the rest of the car is yellow and the paint job sucks), it squeaky, loud and generally less than pleasant but bearable on a trip over about 50-75 miles.  But it seems to draw a crowd when I have it out and I like talking to folks about it.  Not sure I'll ever do much more with it cosmetically.  Just happy to be in the hobby that has brought my joy for almost 50 years now.
