Thanks all for the info.  I had not thought of doing the phosphate coating myself, but I'll think about trying it.  All my parts have already been media blasted. I did find this video on youtube - and coincidently involves the same parts:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ExQguYKaJLg

Parts that I Media blasted in advance turn out O/K but not what I would like it to be, thus I always go straight from cabinet to blow down with compressor and into tank, do not remove until all the bubbling is done regardless of time, I also mixed solution slightly stronger than recommended---applying oil I use used oil from jet engine applying it with steel wool--it really is rewarding.
