69 GT 350 quarter extension lace letter position

Starting to detail exterior parts and the original letters are a little crooked, the letter E is turned upward and the letter Y is higher than the rest.
Question, do you leave alone as there were set up or try and straighten them? One issue I see is the mounting holes are already drilled and if I move them it may show the hole.

Do what you can do to get them straight. If you can't then don't . They were not always straight when new but look best when they are.
