1969 rubber shifter boot

...should the rubber, 4 speed shifter boot have a "pebble" grain or be smooth?

Mine has pebble grain.  My car was restored by Shelby Parts & Restoration so it is most likely correct.

I think Eric meant the boot on the restored car that JC had a hand in doing and not a restored individual boot. FYI I think that that smooth boots are the Hurst boots .
