It’s interesting. 2021 may see the most 68 GT350s at auction...ever in a single year. I’m guessing the results of Kissimmee will knock a few loose.
Nothing beats a classic!

When does the Juliana Cobra S/C go through?

That was part of the “Exposition Gallery”. These cars don’t actually cross the block. They get setup in a tent and people can come and make offers on them during the auction.

Thanks Ruben.

Is the car owned by the Mecums?

People have been telling me for YEARS ,and I should have sold my white elephant Mustangs ( 69 SCJ cars) previous year(s) and I missed the boat.... ;)
Every one of those people sold their cars and regret the loss of use/enjoyment,or just can’t afford to buy/own one. Doom/gloom predictions are hilarious ,from my point of view, because I have owned these cars for 30+ years and owe me nothing. I must note that I do make questionable purchases ,like new 31 foot motorhome (viewed by most financial advisors as bad “investment” ) but I enjoy the hell out of it,and THAT is why I buy toys. Duesenburgs and similar classics still have a huge, well funded, following to this day. They are the more enthusiastic about owning than many other “speculators” that don’t have the pride of ownership. A more “mature” group ,for sure. Those that view the game “from the stands”, are not really in the game.
I have always lived by this motto... It is better to have been a player for ONE MINUTE then a SPECTATOR for a lifetime. :-[

Gotta love that good ole Casino mentality.

Auction is the right venue for a 68 350 for sure.

A lot of people made a lot of fast money in the financial markets over the past year. This may be fueling these high prices, as those people look for ways to store money & get out of cash. Things like real estate, art & collector cars have been among the best performing hard assets.

The question is what happens next?
65 GT350

That’s my assertion, but I’m not sure. It could also be consigned through them to be sold through the exposition gallery. I’ve recognized other exposition cars that were photographed at Dana’s other home off a lake; which leads me to believe he owns some of those cars.
Nothing beats a classic!
