Anybody catch the inverted washer pump on the green Hertz ?  Kinda odd when the unit has this end up written on it.

Missed a good one that sold for the list!

Good catch!  Thank you.  It wasn't listed a couple weeks ago when I made the list.  Thank you for adding it.  :)

With all the internet buzz surrounding this weekend's sale of Carroll Shelby's personal 427 street Cobra, I thought it might be fun to look at the Top 5 Highest-Priced Cobras ever sold at auction. Hope you enjoy the brief slide show.

That's a really great question. It seemed to me that the "shiniest" cars brought the best money, regardless of accuracy, etc.

It also seems that buyers were taking the seller's listing as gospel. And, a thorough inspection most likely wasn't performed by a knowledge professional (which I'm not claiming to be 😉).
Nothing beats a classic!

The $200k '68 wasn't even shiny, or nice.  I just shook my head as it went through.  The high dollar 66 Hertz car, on the other hand, was nice.. . . very nice.  I'll never understand that '68 though . . .

There are always these aberrations at the auctions. The problem comes after it happens, now every 68 GT350 owner thinks they have a $200k car.

The fact that a couple of people didn't want to take the time to do a little searching is not an indicator of the value.

hi All,
Did anyone who attended Mecum see the 67 GT350 red in color.
Kind of wondered what it was like in person?  they all look nice on T.V.
